Casa Cedri

Milano 3 / Basiglio IT, 2025

Renovation of a private flat, 150 sqm

This flat is located within a linear residential block in Milano 3. Conceived as a garden city on the outskirts of Milan, the neighbourhood is defined by its lush landscapes and artificial lakes, where pedestrian paths are strictly separated from vehicular traffic.

To accommodate the client’s needs, the flat underwent a complete spatial reconfiguration. The layout was redesigned to create a generous open-plan living area with an integrated kitchen. With the surrounding park providing a constant backdrop to the living space, the outdoor loggia was designed to serve as a physical extension of the interior, becoming an additional room facing the greenery.

The living area is defined by a bespoke plasterboard ceiling, engineered to incorporate both air conditioning and a cove lighting system. This ensures seamless, integrated illumination, creating a soft and diffused atmosphere throughout the main family space.

The rest of the plan is organised around this central core, which separates two functional wings: the family wing, comprising two bedrooms, a closet, a bathroom, and a laundry room; and the guest wing, featuring an independent bedroom and bathroom.
